Calling All Captains!!!! This one's for you!!
Being an APA Team Captain is no small task. You're the organizer, scorekeeper, strategist, and often the glue that holds your team together. You keep your players informed, post the all-important matchups that can determine your team's fate each week, manage team finances, and serve as the link between the league office and your teammates.
Now, it's time for your reward..... the SOCAPA Team Captains Championship Vegas Qualifier!!!
Teams of three (3) to five (5) eligible captains face off in a unique format that alternates between 8-Ball and 9-Ball, creating a fast-paced, exciting tournament unlike any other. Each team has a combined skill level limit of no more than 15, using each player's higher 8-Ball or 9-Ball skill level (SL 8/9 in 9-Ball count as a SL7 for this event).
More than just bragging rights are on the line. The top two teams* will earn the opportunity to represent South Orange County APA at the APA Team Captains Championship in Las Vegas!!
You've dedicated your time leading your teams all year long, this is your chance to relax, compete, and enjoy a tournament created just for you!! Gather your fellow team captains and see if your team has what it takes to punch its ticket to Vegas!!
*Number of teams advancing is dependent upon the number of slots allocated to South OC APA
Details:
Must have captained 2 sessions during the corresponding league year (summer-fall-spring)
3 to 5 players on a roster
Skill level cap 15 - your higher SL of the 2 formats (8-Ball/9-Ball) will be used toward the team skill level limit of 15. Exception, SL 8-9 will be considered a SL7 for this tournament.
Must have at least twenty (20) 8-Ball scores or twenty (20) 9-Ball scores in the last two (2) years by the entry deadline (late June)
Must have played four (4) matches in the current Spring Session
Must remain on an active Summer Session Roster to be eligible to play at the championship event
100% payback of entry fees
Money added for championship entries, green fees, and travel assistance to the championship event
